His humorous video for well known single 'Gangnam Style' skyrocketed to the highest played K-Pop video on YouTube with over 222 million views in September 2012, becoming a mainstream success all over the world.
Prior to this PSY had released five studio albums, from 2001 to 2010 with varying degrees of success and has also written several hit songs for other artists.
His satrical take on pop musical culture (particularly K-Pop) has earned him a loyal fan base, often found imitating other female singers during his performances.
