7 New Year's Resolutions You'll Actually Want To Make & How To Keep Them
We’re all guilty of making grand New Years Resolutions that by January 2nd we’ve given up on. Learning a new language, running 5 kilometres every morning and reading a new book every week don’t sound particularly fun do they? Since 2016 was the year of “realising things” according to Kylie Jenner, why not make 2017 the year of actually sticking to your resolutions? Here are 7 new years promises you’ll actually want to keep!
Attend as many music festivals as physically possible
There is no doubt that Australia is in a bit of a festival boom at the moment. Over New Years alone we were spoilt for choice with Falls, Lost Paradise and Beyond the Valley there to satisfy our festival needs. This year, plan a road trip with your friends, make a killer playlist, get your outfit ready and head to one (or all) of the literally hundreds of festivals there are on offer.
Find your perfect selfie lighting/angle
The best way to up your Instagram and Snapchat game to some serious Kylie/Selena/Gigi level business is to perfect your selfie game. There’s no quicker way to feel Beyonce #flawless than by taking a BOMB selfie so why not practice.
Put your phone on 'do not disturb' for at least 1 hour a day
As much as we love social media and being connected 24/7, down time is just as important. Allocate yourself at least 1 hour of ‘do not disturb’ mode on your phone to zone out.
Start a ‘365' Instagram account
We all spend HOURS a day on Insta, so make a commitment to posting everyday to document your whole year! Its an alternative to keeping a hand written journal and the perfect way to get creative with you photography, collage making and Insta captions
Learn and perfect your signature cocktail
Whether you’re a Cosmo Queen or a Magarita Maven perfect your favourite cocktail to whip out at every party.
Getting bored of your current wardrobe? Hit up a second hand store and we guarantee you’ll find something that matches your style perfectly. If not, why not try out a new look for the year?
Stop feeling guilty about your reality TV/ trashy music indulgences
We all have that one friend that’ll roll their eyes when you ask whether they’re up to date with The Bachelor or whether they’ve heard Ariana Grande’s new song. Don't let the downers ruin your fun and listen to as many #tbt 00s Pop playlists as you want. Enjoy
