Beck To Play V Festival
In an exciting development for Beck fans, the V Festival has just announced that the enigmatic star will be joining the line-up for two performances only, at Sydney's Centennial Park on Saturday March 31st and the Gold Coast's Avica Resort on Sunday April 1st.
Last heard in 2003, BECK will not be appearing in any other cites. This is a V Festival exclusive people!
Beck will be playing a spectacular and theatrical 75 minute set, complete with: puppets, the world's largest boom box, faux dinner parties, and dudes rapping in grizzly bear costumes. It'll feature marionettes of himself his band mates crafted to a freakish level of detail. The miniatures will be dressed like the band, and will play an imitation concert on a tiny replica stage, whilst their images are beamed onto the big PuppeTron screen behind the band. (Expect clichéd rock-film angles and effects.)
The extravaganza promises to captivate V Festival audiences, with a spectacular visual feast and a set that runs the gamut from acoustic to electric, with all of his best-loved songs in between.
Completing the final V Festival line-up will be the legendary New York Dolls, the unique Nouvelle Vague, London's own New Young Pony Club, Sydney's hardest working live band The Valentinos and newbies The Ghosts.
