More than 30,000 people were out in force for the ‘2010 Splendour In The Grass’ music festival!
Descending upon Queensland with tents and gumboots in tow – fans rocked out to this year’s killer line-up, including The Strokes, Pixies, Mumford and Sons, Scissor Sisters, Florence and The Machine and Temper Trap.
Set in the town of Woodford for the very first time – the bash, which hosted acts on 10 stages, proved to be Splendour’s most impressive effort yet.
Blessed with plenty of sunshine for the event’s 10th Anniversary, fans went wild for headline acts Florence and the Machine, Pixies and Passion Pit.
But it was five lads from New York who really set the tone – The Strokes.

Back in Oz after four years, the rockers -led by frontman Julian Casablancas - belted out iconic hits including ‘New York City Cops,’ and ‘Modern Age.’
On stage for an hour-and-a-half, the band had everyone on their feet for their five song encore, before finally closing with ‘Take It Or Leave It.’
And while the audience couldn’t get enough of the US legends – it was a very different story for former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft.
The Brit singer stormed off stage in the middle of his set after reportedly being unhappy with the small turn out.

The rocker, who was scheduled to play at the same time as the Pixies and Empire of the Sun, stopped mid-song and told startled fans he may as well go and watch the Pixies instead of continuing with his set, before throwing his tambourine and making his way to a waiting car.
Meanwhile talking of bad behaviour – the Scissor Sisters also left fans open-mouthed with their on stage antics.
In the absence of Kylie Minogue, who sang with the group on stage last week, lead vocalist Jake Shears decided to take things up a notch with quite the X-Rated performance!
The camp rockstar, known for his skimpy outfits, shed his pants mid-song to reveal a true Bruno inspired mankini!

But it didn’t end there. The singer then tore off the tiny amount of material left covering his manhood, and bared ALL on stage.
It’s not the first time the camp popstar has failed to keep his clothes on during a set - and we have a feeling it won’t be the last either…
