The 2011 MTV VMA Pre Show is about to kick off, and the rumour mill is already in overdrive as to just what MTV’s night of nights, the 2011 Video Music Awards will serve up!
While whispers have been swirling non stop about just how Amy Winehouse will be honoured, perezhilton.com has speculated that Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett and Adele are teaming up to perform 'Body and Soul' – her last recording and the first single off Bennett’s upcoming album.

Amy's father, Mitch, has said:
“Our family is honoured that the VMAs are giving Amy this wonderful tribute. We know that Amy’s performance of ‘Rehab’ at the MTV Movie Awards played an important part in Amy’s worldwide success.”
Meanwhile, Wiz Khalifa has told his fellow Best New Artist nominees to watch out, because they’re going to get beat out to the prize according to MTV.com!
"I'm trying to crush everybody," the MC told MTV News on Friday. "No disrespect, just crush them and do what I do."

But Khalifa's ‘Black and Yellow’ video is up against some tough competition - including Big Sean's ‘My Last,’ Kreayshawn's ‘Gucci Gucci,’ Tyler, the Creator's ‘Yonkers’ and indie-poppers Foster the People's ‘Pumped Up Kicks.’
Fans went crazy for Chris Brown’s 2007 VMA performance - now the superstar is set to up the ante, and no one is more pumped than his ‘See No More’ pal Joe Jonas!
"I'm gonna be introducing Chris Brown, his performance, which is going to be a lot of fun," Jonas told MTV News at Saturday night's Lifebeat concert, less than 24 hours before show time. "And to be able to work with Chris and see him perform, I love watching him play."

"I remember his VMA performance couple years back," the teen heartthrob said. "It was unreal: him dancing on the tables. [It] should be exciting to see him play again."
Chris will join a mega-line up of stars confirmed to perform including Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Adele.
Meanwhile, GLT lovin’ fans will be glad to hear that not even a Category 2 Hurricane could stop the ‘Jersey Shore’ crew from their much anticipated VMA appearance. Despite floods leaving thousands in New Jersey without power, Snooki, Deena, Vinny and Sammy made it out on a private jet for Los Angeles, and even tweeted some suggestions for those suffering the wrath of Hurricane Irene.

According to MTV.com, the crew recommended battery-powered hairdryers, a healthy dose of GTL, and the suggestion, "If you're by the water, just be more not by the water.”
Make sure your tuning in TODAY from 10am (AEST) for all the notorious antics, unscripted interruptions, confrontations and attention-grabbing stunts that you can handle!
