It’s been five years since Amy Winehouse’s iconic ‘Back to Black’ first took the music world by storm – and now fans are desperate to know whether they will ever hear more from the late singer...

The talented hitmaker, who passed away on Saturday (July 23) aged 27, had reportedly been working on a hotly-anticipated follow-up to her 2006 record, which could now be released following her death.

Last year, the Grammy Award winner, who was rumoured to be hitting the studio with producers Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson, told the Metro newspaper,

"It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and the songs that are ... just jukebox, really."

And her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield added to Digital Spy in April,

"I have heard it, and it's very good.”

When asked about a possible release date for any new material, the soul star’s US publicist told MTV News on Sunday that "there is no information on any new music at this time."

Meanwhile, it looks set to be several weeks before we find out the cause of Amy’s death.

According to The Associated Press, the Metropolitan Police have revealed that “further toxicology tests are needed and the results are expected in two to four weeks.”
