According to The Boombox, the loud-mouthed rapper - known for his controversial comments - left fans open-mouthed when he bid a dramatic farewell to the Black Eyed Peas live on stage.
Earlier this year, the pop super-group announced they’d be taking an “indefinite break,” but according to Mr West they’re done and dusted for good!
"RIP to The Black Eyed Peas! You'll be missed!" he told a shocked audience at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas after a laser beamed performance of his single ‘All Of The Lights’ - which features BEP front woman Fergie.
Following his announcement, concerned fans of the ‘Let’s Get It Started’ band inundated will.i.am’s Twitter page, asking about the hip hop star’s comments.
The music mogul replied, saying,
“Maybe @kanyewest was stating the fact we will take a rest for a little bit...but we the @bep will never die...never...impossible.
"The @Bep will take a break after the beginning...just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d...but it doesn't mean we stop creating."
