The annual music awards ceremony, which is sponsored by the Brit music mag of the same name, celebrated its 25th anniversary by nominating 25 acts for the gongs.
But according to Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin, Britain’s voting public got it all wrong!
"U2 are the best band in the world at the moment. We are about seventh,” he said according to cbc.ca.
The annual music awards also honoured mega-hit maker Adele with Best Female and Best Track for ‘Rolling In The Deep’. The songstress, who recently cancelled her US tour due to voice problems, was unable to attend.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher was named a Q Icon – but the ex-Oasis singer was more excited about his team Manchester City winning a recent soccer game against Manchester United!

"No award can compare to that. That was the best day of my life, bar my children being born," he said.
Also winning accolades were rapper Tinie Tempah for Best Male Artist and U.S. internet sensation Lana Del Ray, who was dubbed the Next Big Thing.
Glam rockers Brian May and Roger Taylor were given the golden keys to the hallowed Q Hall of Fame on behalf of Queen, and Take That's Gary Barlow was honored as Classic Songwriter. DJ Norman Cook, aka Fat Boy Slim, also scored the Q Inspiration Award.
