When an album has a sticker on the front that proclaims to be is "the fastest selling debut album of all time", then it's probably worth a listen.

Well, that's what the sticker on Leona Lewis' 'Spirit The Deluxe Edition', says, so here we go.

Lewis got her start in reality television as the 2006 winner of UK's 'The X Factor', but really there's no need to hold that against her.

Unlike many of her peers, Lewis has been quite successful.

After the huge success of Lewis's debut 'Spirit', the powers that be quickly re-released as a deluxe edition which features a fancy cardboard cover, some extra tracks and a bonus DVD.

After quickly flicking through the track listing, it's clear why Lewis has been praised as the next Mariah.

She has a little R&B, a little soul, a lot of vocal strength and is ripe for the pop market.

Oh, and her sex appeal and exotic good looks don't seem to hinder matters either.

If you didn't come across the album on its first release, make sure you check out her best and coincidently most popular tracks, 'Bleeding Love,' 'Whatever It Takes, Better In Time' and 'Forgive Me' (which sways from her classic sound and gives the album modernity).

On the accompanying DVD you'll find a sappy clip, celebrating Lewis's 'X Factor' win with her audition song, 'A Moment Like This', and some other film clips

Lewis has the chops of an artist that could stay around for a long time, so if you want to jump on the bandwagon, now is the time.

She might not be earth shattering, but the simplicity and beauty of her vocals is something that we'll give a second listen.
