We all know they’re talented, hot and can make a chart-topping single – but now, we also know that the Black Eyed Peas are very generous!

According to E! Online, the foursome, who revealed they were going on indefinite “hiatus” just days ago, reformed especially to perform a benefit concert on Saturday to help raise much needed cash for Josh Duhamel’s flood ravaged hometown of Minot, North Dakota – and managed to collect a whopping $US1.3 million for relief and building efforts!

The ’Tranformers’ star, who’s married to BEP songstress Fergie, is the honorary chairman and key organizer of the Minot Area Recovery Fund event, and has been dedicated to helping some 11,000 forced out of their homes by the rising waters in June that devastated the town.

"A HUGE thank you to @iamwill, @TabBep, @apl_de & #Fergie for their incredible act of kindness for doing #MinotRising. North Dakota loves you," Duhamel gushed on Twitter after the performance.

Peas' rapper and producer will.i.am, tweeted back:

"@joshduhamel i.am proud to support #MinotRising...this is what its all about...'Americans helping americans' one neighborhood United States."

"Thank you for you passion, determination, and vision to do good, and ability to bring people together for a good cause," will.i.am added.

The gig drew a capacity crowd of nearly 16, 000 fans, smashing a previous record set by KISS, and was put together in less than five weeks. It’s not what you know, but who you know, eh Josh!?
