He can already boast boy-band member, solo artist and movie-star on his resume - and now multi-talented Justin Timberlake can add part-owner of a social networking site too!
Clearly inspired by his recent role in acclaimed blockbuster ‘The Social Network,’ about the creation of Facebook, the singer has reportedly invested in the site’s rivals - MySpace!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Like I Love You’ star has scooped an ownership stake in the flagging social networking site, recently sold to advertising network Specific Media for $35 million.
"There's a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect," JT said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I'm excited to help revitalize MySpace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community.”
And while the trousersnake star is pumped about his new business role, he’s not the only one!
The company’s CEO Tim Vanderhook added,
"We look forward to partnering with someone as talented as Justin Timberlake who will lead the business strategy with his creative ideas and vision for transforming MySpace."
