Gorgeous gowns, amazing accessories and not a single hair out of place - in 2011, the celebs were out in full force at some of the biggest awards shows yet!

We're taking a look back at five of our favourite ceremonies from 2011. Between Jersey Shore's tan-tastic looks, Justin Bieber's python and Beyonce's baby bump, one thing's for sure - there was never a dull moment on these red carpets...

2011 Academy Awards




The crème de la crème of Tinseltown descended up LA’s Kodak Theatre for the '2011 Academy Awards'. Best Actress winner Natalie Portman showed off two striking accessories – her handsome fiancé Benjamin Millepied and her ever-expanding baby bump! Newly single Scarlett Johansson set tongues wagging by cosying up to ‘The Town’s’ Jeremy Renner on the red carpet, while previous ‘Best Actress’ winner Gwyneth Paltrow poured herself into a slinky metallic number by Calvin Klein.

2011 MTV Movie Awards




It was Vampires vs Wizards for yet another year at the '2011 MTV Movie Awards'! ‘Harry Potter’ starlet Emma Watson looked magical in her white Marchesa gown, while ‘Twilight’s’ Kristen Stewart vamped it up in a super sexy strapless red studded dress! Sadly Selena Gomez arrived without her teen heatthrob boyfriend Justin Bieber – but never fear, the Twilight boys provided enough eye-candy for everyone!

2011 Video Music Awards




Beyonce’s baby bump stole the show on the Black Carpet at this year’s 'MTV Video Music Awards'! The mama-to-be surprised everyone by revealing the big news in a bright orange floor length gown. Everyone’s favourite flashy guidettes JWoww, Snooki and Deena kept it tight, bright and bedazzled while Biebs got wild with his accessory – a pet snake named Johnson!

2011 Primetime Emmy Awards




At the '2011 Primetime Emmy Awards', 'Mad Men' beauty Christina Hendricks showed off her two favourite assets in a low cut crystal gown, designed by Aussie fashionista Johanna Johnson, while screen goddess Kate Winslet, who took home the Best Actress gong for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Miniseries or Movie, oozed sophistication in a classic red Elie Saab bandage dress and loosely tied-up do.

2011 MTV EMA




The '2011 MTV EMA' wrapped up the awards season on a high! Host Selena Gomez said she “felt like a swan” in her lacey cream Marchesa gown, while JWoww and Snooki brought the bling, tan and glamour all the way from Seaside heights! Katy Perry was tickled pink with her outfit choice and Jessie J got in touch with her wild side in a stunning leopard print number!
