He may be used to fleeing from overzealous Black Eyed Peas fans – but it was a very different story when Will.i.am was forced to escape his London hotel this weekend.

According to TMZ, the music mogul was evacuated, along with 1500 guests, from the lavish Hilton on Park Lane after the building suddenly became engulfed in flames!

Around 20 firefighters arrived at the scene after the fire, which reportedly started in the kitchen on the second floor, spread.

The ‘I Gotta Feeling’ star was snapped being escorted out of the exclusive 28-storey establishment, holding his shirt over his mouth to protect him from the fumes.

So far no injuries have been reported.

And it seems the scary incident failed to cast a smoky cloud over the singer’s later appearance at the ‘Wireless Festival’ in London’s Hyde Park.

Along with the rest of the Peas, the rapper belted out hits including ‘Where Is The Love,’ and ‘Boom Boom Pow’ in front of a buzzing crowd of more than 63,000 fans!
