Twi-hards will be less than impressed when they hear what Muse have to say about their beloved vampire series!
The rockers, who’ve contributed to all three of the ‘Twilight’ soundtracks, believe it was tough on their “cool” image.
In an interview with the BBC, bassist Chris Wolstenholme said of the band’s involvement with the blood-sucking saga,
"I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways.
“You have to take every opportunity you get over there and sometimes you have to sell your soul.”
“When we were in the studio writing it, one minute they said they wanted to use it in the end credits, then they said they wanted to use it in another scene. Then it was another scene and in the end we were like, 'Do what you want with it, we don't care any more.'"
Well let’s hope Stephanie Myer doesn’t hear you complaining!
In ‘Eclipse’ the popular author wrote a heart-warming dedication to the British musicians, that read,
“I am in your debt, rock gods of Muse, for yet another inspiring album. Thank you for continuing to create my favorite writing music.”
We wonder if a track for ‘Breaking Dawn’ is now out the question…
