Adele has hit back at rumours she’s battling throat cancer.
Silencing speculation on Twitter, the Brit superstar, who’s been forced to cancel a long string of upcoming performances to undergo throat surgery, insists the claims are “false.”
"We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a haemorrhaged vocal cord," her spokesperson told Us Weekly.
"All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false."
Last week a statement on the hitmaker’s official website confirmed the news that she would have to pull out of all her “remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011.”
Fortunately the ‘Someone Like You’ star, who’s been ordered by doctors to rest her voice, should be back to her best soon.
“A full recovery is expected,” read the statement.
Last month, the soul songstress also spoke out about her “heartbreak” at cancelling her US tour commitments.
“I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or i risk damaging my voice forever. i have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously i take it and how truly devastated and annoyed i am by this.” (sic)
