Get ready Australia – because Janet Jackson is about to bring her sonic extravaganza to our shores!
The songstress has announced she will be touring Down Under in October, but instead of playing her usual packed out stadiums and arenas, has instead booked intimate theatre locations for her tour – many of which were suggested by her Aussie fans!
"I thank my fans and who have voted and helped me choose the Australian cities. Each of you are so important to me," she says.
"These concerts will be different to anything I have ever done. I will be up close and personal as possible. These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work all these years. I'll be singing and dancing from my heart."
And that’s not all – the socially conscious superstar is giving back to her young fans making a difference in their communities.
“In each city I want to meet 20 young leaders who are changing their communities for the better,” she added.
“There are many young people changing the world and I want them to be recognised during my tour.
“I want them to be my guest at my show and they will come back stage as I learn from them how young people are changing the world.
“You all know someone who is making a difference, so get in touch.”

The 45-year-old hit-maker has also admitted that she is still grieving for her brother Michael, and will be performing a ‘virtual’ duet with the King Of Pop in her new show.
“I wanted to give something to the fans who, like our family, are grieving,” she said.
“Performing with Mike is therapeutic and it makes me smile inside.”
