She’s been spouting off to all and sundry about wanting to start a family for some time, and now, it looks like Lily Allen’s dreams of motherhood have finally come true.
The kooky songstress has announced she is officially pregnant!
The ‘Smile’, who has been dating painter/decorator boyfriend Sam Cooper for the last year, has told The Sun newspaper that a recent scan revealed she was 3 months pregnant, and the 25-year-old starlet is beyond chuffed.
"It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child. It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted," she said.
Pregnancy rumours started whirling when she pulled out of Spain’s Benicassim festival in July on her doctor’s orders, much to the disdain of her fans. It was meant to be one of her last gig’s before having a break from music. But at the end of last month she made amends by taking to the stage with Jay Z for London’s Wireless festival.
Recently, the 25 year old recently told Britain's Elle magazine, "I don't think I'm that young to have a baby. My mother had me when she was 23. (Having a family will give me something) more solid, something that exists, that makes me feel more grounded.”
Congrats Lils! We’ll keep you posted…
