We wouldn’t get too pumped about Madonna’s latest fitness venture...

She may be the poster girl for working-out, but the Queen of pop’s new business hasn’t exactly gone to plan.

Despite having millions in the bank, it seems the singer forgot to check the permit rules, and now her new Hard Candy gym in Mexico has been shut down - just THREE days after it opened.

According to the AFP, the luxury facility, set up in the expensive neighbourhood of Bosque de las Lomas, lacks the correct permit for land use and parking.

Head of the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City, Demetrio Sodi, told the AFP,

"I think it's very good for the city, very good for the country that Madonna chose Mexico City for a gym, but as borough head I have the authority to check, for example... that there won't be an accidents, that there are emergency exits, that's what we have to check."

According to Reuters, the ‘Material Girl,’ who’s famous for her own set of bulging biceps, is said to be using the gym in Mexico as a place to fine-tune the brand, before expanding to other countries including Russia, Brazil and Argentina.

Perhaps she should stick to her day job…
