Green Day will take to the stage in Melbourne tonight (Dec 16), a day later than their advertised gig.
The power-punkers were forced to cancel last night’s show (Dec 15) at the last minute after frontman Billie-Joe Armstrong was struck down with severe vomiting.
The band suspect his dodgy tum is the product of food poisoning.
In a statement, the band’s touring company said: “[We] regret to advise that a sudden illness has struck down Green Day lead singer Billie-Joe Armstrong (food poisoning is suspected).
“Although Billie-Joe was determined to perform… it became apparent that he would be unable to take to the stage - particularly in light of the lengthy 2.5-3 hour show the band traditionally perform.”
Anyone who can’t make tonight’s show will be issued a full refund.
Hope you’re feeling better, Bill; careful all of you in the front row…
