At just 23-years-old she’s already been in rehab three times. But Lindsay Lohan has no complaints – instead she describes the experience as a “vacation.”

The ‘Mean Girls’ star told OK! Magazine, “The second two times I went into rehab, to be honest with you, I had to go because it was a court thing. It was an obligation. I had to do it to stay out of getting any jail time. And I took responsibility for that. And it was like a vacation.

“It was a nice time to shut everyone off for a while because there was so much noise.”

The actress, who recently opened up about her addiction to drugs, insists she’s turned her life around and is fed up of people worrying about her.

She added, "It's weird because a lot of people who I haven't spoken to in months have sent messages [like], 'I hope you're taking care of yourself', and sometimes I find it a bit intrusive.

"It's like, 'I haven't spoken to you in how long, and you're just randomly writing me a note telling me to take care of myself. What do you think I am? I'm fine! I'm happy."

"I'm actually in the best place I've ever been. Please, leave me be."

And the redhead even has her mind set on a new career- as an author.

She said, “I’ve started writing a book. It’s going to take a while, all my life experiences. I started writing it a year ago. There’s a lot to put down, you know."
