It appears the acting bug has bitten Justin Timberlake pretty bad – so much so he’s told his fans to not expect any more music anytime soon!
But before you go tearing down your JT posters and ripping your fedora hat to shreds, take comfort in the fact the ‘Sexy Back’ singer isn’t turning his back on music altogether, he’s just waiting for inspiration to strike.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: “Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21? No, he doesn't.
“It happens when it pours out of him. That's how music is for me.”
But even though the baby-faced crooner isn’t giving up altogether, in the future he may not be centre stage belting out his own hits.
“I never stop making music. I don't know what else to tell you, except that I just don't know in what capacity I want to be involved anymore.”
So even though we may not see another number one album any time soon, he is still flexing his chart-topping vocal chords, but not in the way we’d expect!
Teaming up with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (September 29) for an ep of ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’, the pair performed a medley of rap hits, and just like JT’s other famous viral skit (the parody of Beyonce’s ’ Single Ladies’ that saw him sashaying around in a leotard for ‘Saturday Night Live’) within hours the clip had gone viral.
Kicking off with Sugarhill Gang's classic ‘Rapper's Delight’ the funny-pair then performed jams from acts including the Beastie Boys, the Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Eminem. But despite a roaring reception from the audience, Jimmy says he’s still surprised by the success of the skit, according to pressherald.com
"We never know what's going to viral or get picked up, and this one's beyond what we thought it would do," he said.
