As well as boasting some of the hottest names in the music biz on stage, the bash also brought along a whole host of famous faces.
Lapping up the California sunshine in style were ‘The Hill’s’ ladies Kristin Cavallari and Lo Bosworth and ‘The City’ star Whitney Port, as well as ‘Twilight’s’ gorgeous Kellan Lutz , and a super-slim Kelly Osbourne.
Jay-Z brought down the house with hits like ‘99 Problems’ and ‘Run This Town’ , before bringing out his equally amazing other half.
Sporting a T-shirt emblazoned ‘Punk-ass mother f***** , Beyoncé sent the 75,000 crowd wild when she stepped on stage for a surprise performance of ‘Forever Young’ with her hubby.
Meanwhile Katy Perry made the most of the weather by opting for the smallest, most revealing outfit she could find. Squeezing into a barely there black bondage style mini dress, the ‘Hot N’ Cold’pop princess used the event as an excuse for an early hen do before tying the knot to lover Russell Brand.
A source told The Mirror, "Katy had all her girls and gays with her and held a VIP drinks event, openly saying it was her hen do. Her pals were all jeering her on as she did a lapdance for a guy dressed up as a robot.”
Back on stage, the incredible Muse wowed fans with a 90-minute set, which saw them cover Nirvana and perform a Jim-Hendrix-esque interlude of ‘The Star Spangled Banner,’ along with plenty of lasers and fireworks of course.
But it wasn’t good news for British bands The Cribs and Lose Campesinos , who were forced to cancel their appearance after volcanic ash halted flights out of Europe.
And singer Courtney Love snubbed the event and the chance to perform with her band Hole when organisers refused to give them a headlining slot!!
