first debuted his most raw track to date ‘Runaway’ to his superstar pal Beyoncé
we doubt that a bucket load of tears was quite the reaction he was hoping for!
But luckily for the ‘Gold Digger’ star, Bey wasn’t crying because she couldn’t bear to listen to a moment longer of the deep and dark lyrics, but because she was so “moved” by it!
In a chat with Complex magazine, the ‘Halo’ star said of his controversial release, in which the rapper reflects on a whole host of insecurities and confessions,
“The fact that he’s belting out his pain, his confusion, and his anger, with no pre-written lyrics, was so moving.
"He's singing his heart out for five minutes. He is so vulnerable. I love when an artist can be so honest."
But while the smooth-talking singer may have a way with his words – it’s nothing compared to the pop diva’s hubby Jay-Z.
“Jay’s music is more than music,” she gushed.
“His lyrics have fathered generations. All that he has overcome gives millions so much hope. There are moments when I see his lips moving, and I can see lyrics floating above his head, and I think, ‘Wow! How did I get so lucky to be able to witness this level of genius so closely?’”
And here’s us thinking she only married him for his good looks!
