And it’s no surprise; with huge ratings and the soundtrack still hovering in the Top 40 in the US, the TV sensation, which focuses on a high school choir can now take it’s pick from a galaxy of a-list stars.
Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift, who was spotted getting Glee-ful with cast member Cory Monteith yesterday, has said that she’d love to star in the musical comedy–drama.
“I’m really loving ‘Glee’ right now,” the country cutie told E! News. “If it did happen, I’d love to see what they would do with me.”
And classical singer Josh Groban, who has already appeared on the show, is up for round two.
He says, “I had a great time with that cast, coming from a theater background. And also, being a member of the choir club as a kid, just to see that group of people being represented in mainstream culture is really, really so great.”
Adam Lambert has also been rumoured to guest star. Even thought the controversial American Idol singer recently tweeted a denial, producers have not shut down the possibility of an appearance.
Also meeting with creators about a possible appearance is J-Lo, who will be keeping it real with a spot as a lunch lady!
"I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple of weeks - she wants to come on, we want her to be a cafeteria lady,” creator Ryan Murphy told People.
Even though Murphy admitted he is worried about doing too much stunt-casting, he has said that he will "go after" Bruce Springsteen.
"[Executive producer] Brad Falchuk is obsessed with having Bruce Springsteen on the show, so I'm sure we'll go after him at some point," he said.
"In the past couple of months, a lot of people are coming out saying they love the show and would I meet with them and write something. But I don't want to stunt-cast too much, because I think the [musical] numbers are already so extravagant."
Meanwhile, the cast of ‘Glee’ have their own super-celeb wish lists…
Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry told reporters:
“I would love Justin Timberlake to come on the show… He’s an amazing comedic actor, as well as an incredible singer and dancer and that’s very ‘Glee’.”
She added: “I think that he and Matt could have a nice little dance-off – what do you think?”
At the Golden Globes, JT confessed to E! News that he is, “just waiting for the call”.
We think a mega mash-up with lookalike ‘Glee’ teacher, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) would make for great TV.
Guest stars who have already appeared on the show include Olivia Newton John and Eve, who was cast after Whitney Houston declined to appear.
Probably the most dazzling celeb cameo to date (and the most tentative), is the Queen of Pop herself – Madonna. Will she or won’t she? You’ll just have to keep watching to find out…
