Instead he's followed Rihanna move for move, single for single, TV appearance for TV appearance, album release for album release.
And now old C-Bro is furious that certain music stores, still smarting from his assault on Rih-Rih, have refused to stock his new album, Graffiti.
The 20-year-old took to his blog over the weekend and went on a massive rant.
The 'No Air' man spat: "im tired of this shit. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the f*ck do i gotta do…
"WTF… yeah i said it and i aint retracting shit. im not biting my tongue about shit else… the industry can kiss my ass."
But he didn’t stop there; Chris even went as far as to visit the shops that weren’t stocking his album to talk to the managers to demand an explanation.
"Just was at Walmart in Wallingford CT, 844 north colony," Brown tweeted. "The[y] didn't even have my album in the back ... not on shelves, saw for myself."
Brown said he talked to the store's managers and "they didn't even know anything. Wow!!! But they had Alicia Keys album ready for release for this Tuesday comin ... the manager told me that when there are new releases it's mandatory to put em on the shelves ... BUT NO SIGN OF #GRAFFITI. BS."
However, a sales associate from Walmart told a different story. "We're sold out of it," Gerald Blodgett told MTV News, adding that he shook Brown's hand and chatted with the singer. "We did have it in stock, but we sold out completely as soon as it hit the shelves."
Hmm, not sure that kind of attitude is going to change people's opinions, sorry Chris...
