She’s one of the biggest female rap artists on the planet, she’s never been scared to rock the red carpet in the craziest of costumes, and she’s collaborated with a host of mighty hip hop stars.
But, while Nicki Minaj may appear to have it all - the ride to fame wasn’t exactly super smooth for the Harajuku Barbie.
In fact, the lyrical goddess admits that her struggle to make it in the music biz once left her contemplating suicide.
Recalling her lowest point in an explosive interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine, she said,
"I kept having doors slammed on my face. I felt like nothing was working. I had moved out on my own, and here I was thinking I'd have to go home. It was one dead end after another. At one point, I was, like, 'What would happen if I just didn't wake up?' That's how I felt. Like maybe I should just take my life?"
But after pushing through that dark period, the Young Money MC is now looking ahead to her future, and that includes marriage and babies!
“I will be getting married and, a couple of years after that will have a bun in the oven,” she added.
“My whole life is about being Nicki Minaj now. It's a never-ending saga."
