U2 will be bringing their incredible ‘360’ tour to Australia!
According to industry insiders the music legends are planning to perform at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium this December.
The Irish band, who wowed fans with two sold-out shows in London over the weekend, could even be leaving one of their massive claw stages here in Oz as a permanent reminder of their shows!
Mark Fisher, the architect who devised the impressive $50 million set, revealed to the BBC,
“My vision, which I’ve been discussing with the band, is that we will turn them into concert pavilions.
“Part of the tour will finish in Australia and another part of the tour will finish in South America, where people could use a nice concert pavilion in a park.”
Earlier this year the rockers’ tour was crowned the best stage show of 2009 by TPI magazine.
The publication’s editor-in-chief Mark Cunningham said of their breath-taking live gigs,
“It is a massive engineering feat - from scenery to video to audio, with the biggest PA system that has ever been seen on a tour.”
