Her headline slot at Glastonbury may have raised some eyebrows, but Beyonce is getting ready to silence her detractors in a big way with some star-studded duets for her set!
According to the Mirror.co.uk the RnB diva is planning to rope on stage hubby Jay-Z, Kanye West, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and, wait for it, his wifey Gwyneth Paltrow!
But don’t expect Gwynie to be warbling her recent country singles on stage - by all accounts, punters could get a real surprise by hearing her spit some rhymes!
She said: “I was first exposed to hip-hop when I was about 16. The Beastie Boys were the way in for us preppy kids. Then we were into Public Enemy, Run-DMC and LL Cool J. But then I discovered N.W.A which became my obsession.
“I can’t remember what I ate for dinner last night but I could sing to you every single word of N.W.A’s F*** Tha Police.”
Sounds like Beyonce’s gig at the Somerset festival will be one to remember - we hope it’s for all the right reasons!
In other Beyonce news, director Francis Lawrence, who shot Lady Gaga’s award winning vid for ‘Bad Romance’, has confirmed he’s just wrapped up shooting the video for her new single ‘Girls’, and it’s set to be epic!
"It'll be big, it'll probably be one of the bigger Beyoncé music videos ever done," he said. "And, I can say that I think the song is unbelievable.”
"I really hope that song catches for her, and I think the video's gonna be really fun and cool and different for her."
