Rock icons Guns N Roses are set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by none other than punk superstars Green Day.

According to Rolling Stone, while original Gunners Slash, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler, Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed have all indicated they'll attend the ceremony, frontman Axl Rose is yet to confirm and it appears guitarist Izzy Stradlin will be a no show.

And for the diehard fans out there hoping for an onstage reunion at the bash, which takes place in Cleveland on April 14, well, don’t get your hopes up...

"Everyone has been asking me what's going to happen [at the Hall of Fame]," Slash said to Rolling Stone, "and they know as much as I do.”

“I feel you're totally obligated to be present and I would love to f**king play, but it's just something that's not gonna happen for whatever reason."

A host of other acts will also be inducted on the night, with comedian Chris Rock inducting the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Public Enemy’s Chuck D welcoming the Beastie Boys, to name just a few.
