We’ve all heard Kanye West’s feelings over the incident – but now Taylor Swift has finally spoken out about being left red-faced on stage at the ‘2009 MTV Video Music Awards.’

The country singer, who was infamously interrupted by the rapper as she collected her prize for ‘Best Female Video’ last year – says returning to the stage for the ‘2010 VMA’s’ gave her all the closure she needed.

The ‘Ours’ star, who took to the stage again at this year’s bash to perform her dramatic new track ‘Innocent’ - which she reportedly wrote in wake of all the controversy with the hip-hop bad boy - told Fox News,

"For me, I felt like performing [at the] VMAs was the best way to go out there and sing how I was actually feeling, being there really helped put all that behind me.

"I have a lot (of) fun doing this and getting to write songs about what happens in my life, but putting it all out there in your music - all the details - you're taking a chance with that because you are very vulnerable."

The stunning hitmaker also revealed that her brand spankin' new album ‘Speak Now,’ which will hit the shelves on October 25, features tracks covering both the highs and the lows in her life.

She added, "I've written all the songs on it about things that have happened over the last two years, and a lot has happened over the last two years. It's been very eventful, a lot of adventures and misadventures.”
