International comedian, Adam Hills, is lending a hand to help us celebrate the launch of our newest channel ‘MTV Classic.’
The renowned funnyman is teaming up with rockers Slash, Andrew Stockdale and Angry Anderson to MC for ‘MTV Classic: The Launch,’ this Wednesday, April 28 at Melbourne’s Palace Theatre.
And that’s not all. Also joining in the fun is The Living Endguitarist Chris Cheney, INXS star Kirk Pengilly and his daughter April, as well as pop princess Vanessa Amorosi.
Each will take to the stage to introduce some of the most iconic tracks of Slash’s career throughout the 90 minute rock bonanza.
The epic music bash, which will see a whole host of stars turn out to support the former Guns N’ Roses legend, and will air on ‘MTV Classic’ at 5pm on May 1.
Fans will get the chance to see the first ever Oz performance of ‘By The Sword,’ featuring Andrew Stockdale, from Slash’s hot new album ‘Slash,’ as well as seeing the iconic rockstar reunite on stage with Rose Tatoo frontman Angry Anderson for the first time in 18 years.
The event will take place at the Palace Theatre, 20-30 Bourke Street, Melbourne on Wednesday 28 April 2010. The Red Carpet will commence at 6:30pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm.
The MTV Classic: The Launch will kick off MTV Classic as the channel goes live on May 1, 2010 at 5pm. MTV Classic is available on Channel 810 on Foxtel and Austar.
