One year after leaving rehab – super brave Demi Lovato
has returned to the treatment centre that she credits for “saving her life.”
But, don’t fear – rather than seeking help for herself, the ‘Disney’ darling, who spent three months at the LA facility for an eating disorder and self-harming, was there to support others struggling with similar battles.
“Today I went back to the treatment center I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons,” she wrote on Twitter.
And clearly deeply touched by her visit, the pop princess added, “What an inspiring day... Many tears were shed and many memories were brought back.”
The ‘Skyscraper’singer, who’s turned her life around since her three month stint last year with the release of a brand new album and US tour, also asked her loyal followers not to forget those still suffering.
“Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse,” she wrote.
As well as helping others, the 19-year-old has revealed she helps remind herself of the difficult issues she’s overcome with the scars on her body.

"I think scars are like battle wounds - beautiful, in a way," she told Glamour Magazine.
"They show what you've been through and how strong you are for coming out of it.
"My tattoos say 'Stay strong', 'Stay' on one [wrist] and 'strong' on the other. Now I'm able to look at them and be thankful for being alive."
