Fresh out of the studio with bootylicious babe Beyoncé, Aussie singer Luke Steele
has revealed plans for an exciting new Empire of the Sun
record!

Reuniting with his bandmate Nick Littlemore for the first time since 2010, the pair are currently working on their hotly-anticipated follow-up to their debut release ‘Walking On A Dream.’
After laying down a series of new tracks during a studio sesh in New York, Luke told NME,
"Breaking news around the world, me and Nick have reunited and we've done about ten demos for the next record so the new [Empire of the Sun] era has begun.”
Nick’s had little to do with the band since their first album dropped in 2008, choosing to record a new album with his band Pnau instead. He’s also been busy working as a musical director for the Cirque Du Soleil New York musical.
Speaking about hitting the road for a tour without his bandmate, Luke added to NME,
"When the record came out Nick joined the circus literally and that project took a lot longer than he thought it would. That's why he hasn't been in the band.
"We have such a weird relationship because the day before we actually went into the studio was the first time we'd spoken since the Brit Awards last year. And it was great the sessions went really well and we're hoping to go into the studio again in September."
See why we can’t wait to hear more from the Aussie duo in the video clip below…
