Stars including Bajan beauty Rihanna, Brit songstress Jessie J, Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am, boyband heartthrobs One Direction and Grammy Queen Adele shunned the cold temperatures and dressed in their best for the annual event, held at London's O2 Arena.

Jessie J turned heads in a sheer red number with toussled black hair, while Adele took a more demure approach, opting for her signature black gown and big curls.

Meanwhile Florence Welch, dressed in a lacy peach dress by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, couldn't help but sing Adele's praises on the red carpet.
"One of the first gigs I ever did was in a tiny pub in Camden and Adele was on that line up as well," she told the Telegraph.
"I remember hearing her sing and playing her guitar, and she’s got one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard. It’s just so fantastic to have her back!"

Rihanna brought some international flavour to the British bash, flashing some flesh in a brown and gold Givenchy number straight off the runway!

Flying the Aussie flag was the always-gorgeous Kylie Minogue, who wowed the crowd in a beautiful blue Yves Saint Laurent gown.
When asked who she thought should take out the 'Best Female Artist' award, which she was presenting, who did Kylie back?

"I would have to say Adele," Minogue told Sky News.
"It's been her year, she's had a triumphant comeback, her talent is extraordinary. Say no more."
And let's not forget about the boys...

Looking dapper as always, the One Direction lads, who were up for their first ever award, did a pretty good job of hiding any pre-show jitters.
"Nervous for the brits :s < x x" singer Zayn Malik wrote on Twitter before the awards - but bandmate Harry Styles had bigger things on his mind!
"Wonder if SuBo will be there?" he Tweeted.
Stay tuned as we bring you all the goss from the 2012 Brit Awards, including the full list of winners!
