The laid back one time pro-surfer, who has sold a whopping 18 million copies of his albums worldwide, is back with a new offering under his well worn belt, ‘To The Sea’ and will give Australian fans the first live listen when he performs at open air venues in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, plus an indoor show in Adelaide, this December.
The Hawaiian singer songwriter was last in the country in April to headline Byron Bay’s Bluesfest and has in the past sighted Australia as one of his favourite places on earth, and Australia loves him right back. On his last tour in 2008, which included shows in Sydney and Melbourne were completely sold out.
And you won’t find this guitar hero flogging tracks to add another SUV to his collection. The ‘Sitting Waiting Wishing’ stars, who evidently is one of the few that still subscribes to the romantic notion of living for music and poetry, has promised that 100% of the profits from the tour will benefit hand-chosen non profit community groups in Australia and environmental causes, as well as engaging fans in the Sustainable Local Food Systems.
