Even though Eminem apologised to Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon about those unsavory lyrics on the track ‘Bagpipes From Baghdad’, it appears Mimi and her boy toy aren’t the forgiving type.
Judging from photos that have just emerged, Mariah is getting her own back by impersonating the rapper on her latest video ‘Obsessed’.
Perezhilton.com reports that Mimi was snapped sporting an oversized sweatshirt, fitted baseball cap and baggy sweatpants, an outfit similar to the gear Eminem wears.
The chorus to ‘Obsessed’ runs, “Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/Lying that you're sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It's clear that you're upset with me.”
Mariah has vehemently denied any past relationship with the rapper, but the lyrics to Eminem’s ‘Bagpipes from Baghdad’ tell a different story.
"Mariah whatever happened to us/ Why did we ever have to break-up? Nick Cannon, you better back the f--- up. I'm not playing, I want her back, you punk."
Cannon chivalrously came to his wife’s rescue, blasting Eminem in his blog. "Slim Lamey is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn't let him get to second base from 8 years ago."
Cannon also squared Em up for a face-to-face confrontation, before concluding, "Your legacy has now been tainted from this day forth! You will now be known as the rapper who lost to corny-ass Nick Cannon!"
Mimi will release her new album, 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel', on August 25, 2009. To date, she has sold over 200 million albums worldwide and is one of the most successful singers of all time.
