Not content with having debuted the ARIA Charts with a cool Number One album, the Presets are now also in the enviable position of being able to mingle with the hippest dudes in school. They've recently been confirmed as bed-buddies with BMW, who as far as friends go, can't be all bad. So long as the boys don't mind being hooked up with the figurative version of a tall straight guy who parts his hair in the middle... but can run really fast.
BMW is using the Presets tune "Are You The One?" to launch the company's new 1 Series convertible and coup range, which will launch nationally in 4 days' time. The song has been given a slap of euro appeal by being remixed by the French DJ Lifelike, and you can download a free copy of the remix on the Presets website.
Meanwhile, the spotty-faced sad saps that the Presets don't wanna hang with right now is any form of reality TV...and you can guess that the wannabes are wearing big yellow sunglasses. Julian Hamilton recently told triple j:
"We said no to a certain reality TV show recently. THE certain reality TV show. A Big No. They (wanted to use Presets song "My People") and we had to draw the line and say no. I just didn't want to be associated with people I try to spend my life avoiding."
Avoid people they might, but there's no avoiding the Presets. They're cranking into 5th gear, and they seem to know exactly who's driving.
