After a few years in musical hibernation, Jet are back and raring to unleash their highly anticipated new offering ‘Shaka Rock’ onto the rock-lovin’ public.

Due for release on August 21, 'Shaka Rock' is pitted as a no-holds-barred return to form, and supposedly set to close the gap between the raw roots of ‘Get Born’ and the melody of ‘Shine On’. The album is also the first to be released on Jet's own record label Real Horrorshow Records.

"We're thrilled with 'Shaka Rock' in every conceivable way and excited to know that we are 100 per cent in control of every element of our career at this point with the new set-up. We've had a don't think twice attitude throughout the making of this record which continues as we get ready to release it," says Jet's Chris Cester.

It’s hard to believe it’s been over five years since ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl' blasted the bejesus out of our stereos. Since then, they’ve sold over four million albums worldwide, won numerous awards (including Best Rock video at the 2003 MTV Music Awards) and topped the charts. Their new single ‘She’s A Genius’ airs on radio next week, so keep your ears wide open Jet setters.
