With a comeback record, new tour and a sexy reunion with her ex – Demi Lovato
is on the top of the world.
But it’s far from a simple dose of good luck…
The former ‘Disney’ star, who entered rehab for an eating disorder and self-harming last November, says her mighty return to music is thanks to her haters!
Revealing her inspiration behind the powerful first track ‘Skyscraper’ from her fourth album, the teen singer told Glamour Magazine,
“It’s to every person who tried to bring me down. Everyone has the bully or the mean girl or the ex-boyfriend who tried to bring them down.”
“For me, I think of the people who really weren’t there for me when I went into treatment. It was a really dark time for me because I had only a few people — I had surrounded myself with so many artificial friendships. It’s about those people too.”
But one person the track’s certainly not about is her older beau Wilmer Valderrama.

Although he better listen up if he wants to keep in the hitmaker’s good books…
Speaking about the important qualities she looks for in a fella, she added,
“Someone who’s not only supportive in my career, but also in my (emotional) recovery.
“It’s a big responsibility dating me because I come with a little bit of baggage, you know?
“I definitely don’t take dating lightly anymore.”
