Singing sensations Justin Timberlake and Elton John have both snubbed the chance to fill Simon Cowell’s role on ‘American Idol.’
The music mogul, who quit the talent contest back in May, was rumoured to be replaced by one of the legendary singers, but it seems neither want ‘Mr Nasty’s’ prestigious job.
According to JT’s publicist, the former boyband star is too busy focusing on his movie career, including his new role in ‘I’m.mortal.’
And as for the ‘Rocket Man’ star – who was reportedly the very first name producers picked as Simon’s replacement, he’s tied up too.
His publicist confirmed, "Elton's got commitments right up until next year.
"As we stand at the moment, Elton has no plans to do that show."
But one popstar who is said to be keen to take part, is Jessica Simpson!
The blonde songstress, who hasn’t released an album since her 2008 country-crossover effort ‘Do You Know,’ has reportedly met with Idol execs several times already.
A source tells Life & Style, “They like her - she's a good fit - and she likes it. Now it's just a question of how to fit her in."
Other names who’ve been linked to the popular singing show include Bret Michaels, Chris Isaak and Harry Connick Jr.
