It’s official - there’s a new girl to ‘Run The World!’

Beyoncé Knowles has given birth to her first baby - Blue Ivy Carter.

According to NY Daily, the pop diva and her rapper hubby Jay-Z welcomed their new daughter on Saturday in a private wing of New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.

Confirming the showbiz couple’s new arrival, Bey’s sister Solange described her niece on Twitter as "The most beautiful girl in the world!"

And their longtime pal and fellow chart-topper Rihanna wrote, “Welcome to the world princess Carter!"

Also sending his love was hip hop mogul Diddy, who said, "Congrats to jay and B! God Bless :) !"

And even ‘Jersey Shore’s’ Snooki couldn’t contain her excitement, adding,

"Beyonce congrats on your baby gurl mama!!!! So happy for you, you deserve it sexpot."

Meanwhile, for those of you wondering about the meaning behind their bundle of joy’s name – here it is!

According to Global Grind ’Blue’ is reportedly a tribute to Jay, whose albums include ‘The Blueprint.’

And ‘Ivy’ appears to have been chosen because of the significance of the number 4 – IV in Roman numerals – in the new parents’ lives.

Last year Beyoncé told MTV News, “We all have special numbers in our lives and 4 is that for me.

“It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays are on the fourth. April 4 is my wedding date.”
