Paris Hilton is set to show her erm, musical talent to the world once again .
As soon as Paris and Good Charlotte rocker Benji Maddon hooked up, we knew it would only be a matter of time before a 'musical collaboration' would rear it's ugly head. So it's time to lock up your dogs, reinforce the windows and stock up on the Panadol because this time she's serious!
The starlet revealed that she was already working on a second album shortly after she was released from prison last year. But those plans were put aside when Paris got busy filming the reality series for her show My New BFF.
The usual antics of club hopping, posing for paparazzi and holding long and varied conversations about the application of eyeliner must have finally become weary for the couple, as they have resorted to filling the days writing songs together, working out of Paris's new recording studio inside her Beverly Hills mansion. They're even going to write the theme song for her the next season of My New BFF.
She adds, "Definitely. I'll have another album come out, for sure. I just don't know when yet. I only have the summer off, then I'll be taping another season of BFF. But an album is something I'll do."
After Paris's self-titled debut received a decidedly cool reception from critics and so-so sales, Paris bore the brunt of a barrage of cruel (but rather funny) pay outs, which included notorious urban artist Banksy replacing doctored pictures on the CD sleeve to show the US sociality topless, and with a dog's head. In total, Banksy replaced 500 copies of her debut album in 28 record shops across the UK and swapped the CD for his own remixes, giving them titles such as Why am I Famous? What have I Done? and What Am I For?
While most would cower into obscurity never to be seen again in public sans paper bag, the taunts did nothing to affect Paris's determination to crack the music biz. She either must be one tough cookie, or have no shame. Judging from her previous exploits, we're guessing it's the latter.
At least her music career has no where to go but up. How she'll fare with music critics and the CD-buying public a second time round remains to be seen.
Aw, must be true love between Paris and Benji after all - there's not many a rocker that would relinquish their credibility so readily to help out a pop tartlets flagging music career. Or maybe he's just in it to use Paris's new recording studio. Recording time is expensive ya'll!
