She once came under fire for playing John Lennon’s piano, but no amount of controversy can ever stray Lady Gaga from her path, and last weekend was no exception!
The kooky popstrell paid tribute to the former Beatle at an event celebrating what would’ve been the late singer’s birthday.
Gaga joined Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band on stage in Los Angles and writhed around on a piano in a revealing, diamante-studded see through leotard while joining her for three songs including ‘The Sun Is Down’, (taken from Yoko’s latest LP) and a rendition of the classic ‘Give Peace A Chance’. Also performing was Lennon’s son Sean, rapper RZA and Sonic Youth members Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, Iggy Pop, Perry Farrell and actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Carrie Fisher).
The 77-year-old widow later thanked Gaga for being “so brilliant and such an inspiration to so many women”.
Earlier this year, Lennon fans were outraged when his son Sean twittered a pic of Lady playing John’s piano.
Sean responded: "Pianos are meant to be played. Why is everyone so uptight? What should we do, lock it away in a dusty room? So judgemental..." Then: "come on, lighten up...life's too short, there're enough real problems in the world . . . "
