Singing sensation Nicki Minaj has been left devastated after her cousin was tragically murdered.
The ‘Moment 4 Life’ superstar revealed the shock news on Twitter this week, telling fans,
“Cousin Nicholas. Also goes by Juse, or @brolicalcoholic Murdered. Last nite. Near his home. Brooklyn,NY.
“Lived in Brooklyn his whole life. My precious cousin. My baby. Killed last nite.”
Since then, fans of the 26-year-old, who also posted pics of her late relative online, have flooded the social networking site with messages of love and support.
Also expressing her sorrow was fellow R&B star and pal Jordin Sparks, who wrote,
“Nicki Minaj sending love & prayers to you and your family.”
The chart-topper’s heartache comes just a week after she celebrated scooping the award for ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist’ at the ‘BET Awards.’
At the time she thanked her close friend and rapstar Lil Wayne, on stage, saying,
“I can't believe for the first time I get to share a moment like this with the person who saw me rapping on a staircase.
“Lil Wayne, I love you.”
