- Did Soulja Boy Murder Hip Hop?

Hip-hop has moved its gangster feuds from the street to the internet - the war of hip-hop is currently being fought  and Youtube is the new battlefield!

So what's the beef about this time? Old vs. New? East vs. West?  Nope, according to the legendary artist, gangster and actor Ice T, it's Quality vs. Garbage.  While making a mix tape, Ice T reportedly took a swing at Soulja Boy accusing the rising star of murdering everything good left in hip-hop.

In a controversial move, Ice opened his mix tape by dedicating it to Soulja Boy, leaving no question to what he really thinks of the hip hopper.  "F&*% Soulja Boy!  Even your name single-handedly killed Hip-hop.  We came all the way from Big Daddy Kane and you came along with your Soulja Boy shit and destroyed it, man that shit is garbage!"

And in true hip hopper form, Soulja Boy wasn't going take the diss lying down.

The alleged 'hip hop murderer' fought back by filming a Youtube video, laughing demonically the whole way through with his ever-present two cronies egging him on in the background. "This nigger is old as shit I let you fight my granddaddy and he'll kick your ass. The last time I heard of the nigger was in a super hero's book." After joking around for a few minutes, Soulja Boy then moved to the moral high ground pointing out how wrong it was for someone like Ice T - whom he respects - to tell him to eat dick. Smart move Soulja, you almost look like the mature party here.

The veteran fought back a day later with his own video, telling the youngster to watch his back.  "Truthfully, a brotha of my caliber should not be talking down to a youngster of your age. But as for your music, it's garbage. Hip-hop has gotta last forever and it can't with you doin' that 'Superman' bullshit. When I diss there's no ramification, you can't hurt my career cuz, I can't die! But when you go against me you go against the whole west coast, you go against all the OG's and trust me there will be ramifications."

Hmm they be fighten words Ice T .  Better hope Soulja Boy's Granddaddy don't come by and kick your ass!

Seriously, do these fellas have nothing better to do that beef on Youtube? Maybe they should dedicate their time to something a little more constructive. Like making music.
