Thousands of Killers’ fans have been left disappointed after the band cancelled their live shows in Australia.
The Las Vegas rockers announced that the “severity of the illness of a close family member” meant they would not be able to travel to Sydney for tonight’s show at the Enmore Theatre or perform at Good Vibrations in Centennial park on Saturday.
Despite rumours the group may be planning to split, they assured fans this wasn’t the case.
A statement on their website read, "The Killers would also like to take this opportunity to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded.
"They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus."
The ‘Day & Age’ stars are hoping to rejoin the tour for the Melbourne and Gold Coast festivals next weekend.
