Last we heard, The Darkness were dusting off their pleather onesies and focusing on reforming after a 5 year hiatus.

Now, with a comeback performance at Download festival and a new album nearly polished off, there is little doubting the glam rockers are back with vengeance and more determined than ever to get back to top-charting form – and it appears that Foo Fighters are going to help them do it!

According to the Daily Star, The Darkness front man Justin Hawkins and Foo’s drummer Taylor Hawkins have more in common than just last names – the duo are teaming up with Danish songwriter Mads Langer and The Darkness’ former manager Sue Whitehouse will be on vocals – who also happens to be the ex-fiancé of Justin!

Mads told the paper: "Justin's more musically varied than people give him credit for. We often talk about forming a band with me singing, Justin playing guitar and Taylor on drums."

The Darkness reunited in March this year, when lead singer Justin Hawkins and his brother Dan announced they’d put an end to their bitter feud, which stemmed from drugs and alcohol abuse.

They’ve since performed a slot at Download Festival and have almost polished off a new album. Their comeback tour is slated for November.
