And now, ‘American Idol’ star Kelly Clarkson is ready to battle the others out the way for a chance to record with the ‘Someone Like You’ singer herself!
But while most acts may gush about the person they want to work with on Twitter or perhaps beg their manager to put in a good word – the ‘Mr Know It All’ star has a more, well, direct approach.
"I'm stalking her currently through interviews. Every interview, they are like, 'Who do you want to work with?' 'Adele! I want to do a duet with Adele!' " she told MTV News.
And it turns out she's actually been a diehard fan of the soul star for a while!
"I've been stalking her since we did '[VH1] Divas' together, actually, and we were supposed to sing together, and then they changed the concept to where we would sing with somebody from a different generation," she added.
"That was actually really cool, because I got to sing with Melissa Etheridge, and she's amazing. That wasn't like a letdown or anything, but I've been trying to sing with [Adele] for a while."
