She’s best known for her enviable talents of singing and shimmying, but now, Shakira is adding another string in her already quivering bow by becoming a children’s author!
According to Colombiareports.com, the sassy songstress has just published her first kids book as part of the Dora the Explorer series titled ‘World School Day Adventure’.
A percentage of the royalties for the book, which follows Dora and Boots as they deliver school supplies to needy children, will go to Shakira’s Pies Descalzos Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to educating children.
Shakira says she wants "the children from all over the world to know that through knowledge and education, one can embark on great adventures."
She added: "Dora is an inspiration for all children in the world. It was an honor working with Nickelodeon to write this story as education is a cause very close to my heart."
The book is available now through most book shops and amazon.com.
