With album sales at an all time low and touring the main source of moolah- making for a lot of bands, you'd think Pete Doherty would take his festival appearances a little more seriously!
Mind you, there isn't much the drug-addled Babyshambles singer does take seriously, but maybe his tardy behavior is starting to wear down his ever-loyal band mates.
Babyshambles were due to appear at FM4 Frequency Festival in Salzburg, Austria on the weekend, but due to human train-wreck Pete missing his flight, they were forced to cancel.
His bandmates - guitarist Mik Whitnall, bass player Drew McConnell and drummer Adam Ficek - were so upset, they issued an apology to fans - from the festival stage.
And in a statement released on Saturday, Ficek said: "Drew, Mik and myself can only apologise to those who came to see us today. Peter has missed the flight, we are in Salzburg, with no Peter. We will head to the festival and apologize on stage. Adam."
Pete, who has famously battled addictions to heroin and crack cocaine for half a decade is notorious for failing to show up to gigs. But unlike previous concerts where Petesy has been a no show, the band did not perform without the singer.
Who knows, if he didn't grab so many headlines with his skanky behavior, the band just may have the balls to throw him out!
